Screens can break very easily, and can be one of the more fragile areas of your laptop. In most cases a damaged screen will result from too much pressure being applied to the casing during the opening and closing of the screen.
The best way to open a laptop is from the middle. Opening from the left or the right hand side can cause the screen to bend; damaging the internal crystals and the circuit found behind the screen.
Dropping the screen in most cases will cause damage.

Liquid Damage to a laptop can be one of the most chalenging repairs we undertake, First thing we recommend is to remove the battery from the laptop immediately.........
Spilt tea or coffee, wine, beer or a simple glass of water?
Due to the mobile nature of laptops, having a drink nearby is quite common amongst many laptop users today. Even though most modern laptops have better designs which help protect the laptops most precious part; the motherboard, this doesn’t stop severe damage occurring when liquid has been spilled on your laptop.
The first and most important thing to suggest once any amount of liquid has been spilled on your laptop is to immediately disconnect the laptop from the mains and remove the battery. Don’t shut down ‘Windows’ and wait for the laptop to turn itself off as this may prove to be too long and will cause more damage to the laptop.
The next step once all power has been removed is to place the laptop upside down on a flat surface and give us a call.
Don't try drying the laptop with a hair dryer as this can cause more damage.
We have a dedicated Liquid spillage repair process as part of our business and in most cases can recover the laptop and bring it back to life for a relatively low cost.
